چکیده

In this paper, the exponential stability and the L2 induced gain performance are investigated for a collection of plants whose feedback control loops are closed via a shared network link. Due to a limited communication capacity, the network link can only close one feedback control loop at a time, while the other control loops are assumed to be open-loop. Therefore, it is necessary to carefully allocate the communication resources in order to guarantee exponential stability and achieve desired H∞ performance of the whole networked control systems. In this paper, we derive a condition for scheduling the network so that all the plants achieve the exponential stability and some reasonable H∞ disturbance attenuation levels. The proof is constructive. A time-division based scheduling policy is proposed to guarantee the exponential stability and a weighted H∞ performance. The techniques used in this paper are based on the average dwell time approach incorporated with piecewise quadratic Lyapunov-like functions. Copyright c © 2005 IFAC

Design of Observer-based H∞ Controller for Robust Stabilization of Networked Systems Using Switched Lyapunov Functions

In this paper, H∞ controller is synthesized for networked systems subject to random transmission delays with known upper bound and different occurrence probabilities in the both of feedback (sensor to controller) and forward (controller to actuator) channels. A remote observer is employed to improve the performance of the system by computing non-delayed estimates of the sates. The closed-loop s...

Modelling and Compensation of uncertain time-delays in networked control systems with plant uncertainty using an Improved RMPC Method

Control systems with digital communication between sensors, controllers and actuators are called as Networked Control Systems (NCSs). In general, NCSs encounter with some problems such as packet dropouts and network induced delays. When plant uncertainty is added to the aforementioned problems, the design of the robust controller that is able to guarantee the stability, becomes more complex. In...

Event-based Scheduling of Multi-loop Stochastic Systems over Shared Communication Channels*

Abstract—This paper introduces a novel dynamic eventbased scheduling mechanism for networked control systems (NCSs) composed of multiple linear heterogeneous stochastic plants whose feedback loops are closed over a shared constrained communication channel. Each subsystem competes for the channel access in order to update its own controller with true local state values. Employing an emulation-ba...

Robust Fixed-order Gain-scheduling Autopilot Design using State-space Stability-Preserving Interpolation

In this paper, a robust autopilot is proposed using stable interpolation based on Youla parameterization. The most important condition of stable interpolation between local controllers is the preservation of stability so that each local controller can ensure stability for an open neighborhood around a nominal point. The proposed design used fixed-order robust controller with parameter-dependent...

Designinga Neuro-Sliding Mode Controller for Networked Control Systems with Packet Dropout

This paper addresses control design in networked control system by considering stochastic packet dropouts in the forward path of the control loop. The packet dropouts are modelled by mutually independent stochastic variables satisfying Bernoulli binary distribution. A sliding mode controller is utilized to overcome the adverse influences of stochastic packet dropouts in networked control system...
